For people with disabilities, farmers, and artisans, meaningful jobs

Sunshine Communities may be a way for people with disabilities to figure , live, and play on their own terms. Georgette’s Grounds and Gifts is one among the opportunities for people with disabilities to seek out meaningful work. Georgette’s may be a full-service coffee and novelty shop , complete with a delicious lunch menu and pastries. All of our coffee beans are packaged at our packaging plant in West Maumee, which also proudly employs people with developmental disabilities. They measure the coffee that we'd like for each week in order that we've enough coffee beans to serve you all the great stuff!

Every purchase of fair-trade coffee, cakes, meals, and gifts goes back to supporting people with disabilities locally, also as farmers in developing countries and native artisans. Some purchases support small local businesses. We get new gifts in year-round so there’s a replacement surprise expecting you each time you step within the shop.

The proceeds from Georgette’s Grounds and Gifts return into supporting Sunshine Communities, also as promoting sustainability for our Earth by supporting coffee growers in developing countries. Local artisans sell their wares in our giftshop. That’s tons of support in one small purchase!
